Vision of the Department
The vision of the department is to produce skilled and competent social workers to promote human dignity, well-being of the community and sustainable development through education, research, learning and social services by addressing social problem and activating human resources.
Mission of the Department
The mission of the department of social work is to yield highly trained and skilled manpower as well as to face upcoming challenges of the fourth industrial revolution. Specifically, the missions are as follows-
M1: To prepare the students with theoretical and practical knowledge to know and understand multidimensional social problems.
M2: To train the apprentices with field-based knowledge for social work practice in the context of diversified social and economic problems.
M3: To groom leadership for carrying about positive social change and making them competent for delivering well-planned social services to maximize the welfare of the society with cultural sensitivity and professionalism.
M4: To create new knowledge and social policy through scholastic work, research, innovation and efficient practice.
M5: To equip students of maintaining social values, ethical protocol set by social work professional body for addressing social needs and problems.
M6: To work for the betterment of the professional standards of social work in national and international arena.
